Vanteon Engineers Contribute to Android Developers Conference

Accelerates Market Potential for Innovative Wireless Apps in Many Industries

Rochester, New York (April 4, 2011) Vanteon Corporation, an electronic systems design and engineering company, contributed to what is believed to be the first conference devoted entirely to development and marketing of Android Apps. The event, called “AnDevCon” was held in San Francisco and featured presentations and technical sessions led by key industry participants at: Motorola, Google, EBay, IBM, PayPal, and Sandia National Labs.

Android Apps are being rapidly adopted for a wide range of e-commerce and operational uses inside of large business enterprises. The Android development platform provides immediate access to a robust wireless network, global positioning systems, digital imaging capabilities, and high-speed data and voice capabilities using commercially available cellular phones. This offers businesses the capability to create customized applications that can improve operational performance and client interactions.

Vanteon’s engineers participated in the success of the conference by networking with industry insiders that have access to information that is at the cutting edge of technical developments and emerging markets. “There were keynote presentations by Motorola Mobility, covering the ways in which they were using Android, and Google, discussing the changes in the new 3.0 ‘Honeycomb’ version of the operating system,” stated Aaron Sher, a Vanteon engineer who attend the conference. “Sessions were also presented on extremely low-level topics, like porting Android to new hardware, to very high-level topics, such as techniques for developing applications using web technologies,” continued Mr. Sher.
