Vanteon Announces Appointment of Chief Technology Officer

Rochester, New York (October 7, 2013) Vanteon Corporation, an electronic systems design and engineering services company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Aaron Roof as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Dr. Roof recently completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, DSP and Communications, at the University of Buffalo. His research area focused on Signal Classification for Software Defined Radio Applications. His work in Software Defined Radio (SDR) has played a significant role in a number of successful Vanteon projects, which utilize a common SDR platform, based on Vanteon’s WaveCaster IP.

Vanteon showcased its talent and experience in RF design at the 2011 Wireless Innovation Forum Conference, highlighted by Dr. Roof’s presentation of his paper, Classification of Multiple Signals Using 2D Matching of Magnitude-Frequency Density Features, to an audience of engineers and technical professionals. The paper was awarded “Best Paper in Research and Development” at the show.
