Vanteon Supports Award Winning FIRST Robotics Team

Rochester, New York (April 3, 2014) Vanteon Corporation, an electronic systems design and engineering company, is pleased to announce its support of and offer congratulations to ‘Rolling Thunder’, the Penfield High School FIRST Robotics team. The team recently made it to the quarter finals at the 2014 Finger Lakes Regional competition held at Rochester Institute of Technology.

The Rolling Thunder team won the Regional Chairman’s Award (“the most prestigious award at FIRST, it honors the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the purpose and goals of FIRST”), and will be competing against other regional winners for the Chairman’s Award presented at the FIRST Championship in St. Louis in May.

David Wagner, President and Chief Operating Officer at Vanteon, states, “We are thrilled to be able to support such a worthy group of young technologists. They demonstrate just the kind of determination and spirit that we strive to achieve with all our development efforts. Our hope is that these young people will take a look at Vanteon when they are making their career decisions a few years down the road.”
