Vanteon Participates at 2011 Wireless Innovations Forum Conference
Rochester, New York (December 13, 2011) Vanteon Corporation, an electronic systems design and engineering services company, recently showcased it’s talent and experience in RF design at the 2011 Wireless Innovation Forum Conference on Communications Technologies and Software Defined Radio. The event, SDR’11 – WInnComm, was held in Arlington, VA from November 29 to December 2.
The cutting edge of software defined radio (SDR) hardware and software engineers descended upon Arlington for the Wireless Innovation Forum, and Vanteon was in the thick of it. Aaron Roof, a Principal Engineer at Vanteon, presented an innovative method of classifying multiple signals using 2D matching of magnitude-frequency density features to a packed room. By all accounts it was well received, even being nominated for best paper in Research and Development at the Conference.
Vanteon has over 25 years of experience in developing next-generation solutions in the embedded and wireless spaces. Mr. Roof’s unique and efficient algorithm is of benefit for any firm that wishes to analyze spectra and classify signals.
As one of the exhibitors, Vanteon brought a practical viewpoint to SDR applications. Whether it is a new multilateration system using existing transmitters, wayside communication systems for railcars, or automatic wireless remote meter reading, Vanteon’s engineers are always finding better, less expensive solutions. The Wireless Innovation Forum’s acknowledgment of Mr. Roof’s accomplishments via inviting his paper in the advancement of reconfigurable radio technology is a reflection of his dedication to his clients.
