Vanteon participates in 2017 TI Innovation Day at Rochester Institute of Technology

Fairport, NY (December 15, 2017) – On December 1, 2017, Vanteon partnered with Texas Instruments (TI) to sponsor the 2017 TI Innovation Day at Rochester Institute of Technology. The event hosted companies from all over New York State and highlighted many areas of innovative new technology from TI.

Vanteon was a sponsor, presenter, and exhibitor at the event. Vanteon CTO Aaron Roof presented on wireless applications using TI technology. The applications presented included industrial Internet of Things (IoT) gateway products that have been designed by Vanteon such as Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) for agricultural data collection (with cloud bridging), remote gate control wireless bridging, hospital proximity location and asset tracking using Bluetooth and WiFi, and building automation wireless bridging. The application examples centered around vGatewayTM, an IoT gateway platform provided by Vanteon which consists of hardware and firmware to support bridging applications that require Zigbee, WiFi, cellular, Bluetooth, and other wireless interfaces.

Vanteon and TI collaborate regularly on wireless technologies. TI provides a plethora of highly integrated devices for standards based wireless designs such as WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, among others. Vanteon has familiarity with these devices and designs them into client products frequently, providing hardware and software development assistance to clients.
