Vanteon RF Engineer to Present at 2011 Wireless Innovations Forum Conference

Rochester, New York (November 8, 2011) Vanteon Corporation, an electronic systems design and engineering company, has been selected to present a Technical Paper at the 2011 Wireless Innovation Forum Conference on Communications Technologies and Software Defined Radio. The premier event for the reconfigurable radio community, SDR’11 – WInnComm will be held November 29 to December 2 in Washington, D.C.

Aaron Roof, Senior RF Engineer at Vanteon, will present a paper titled Classification of Multiple Signals Using 2D Matching of Magnitude-Frequency Density Features.Roof, a PhD candidate at the State University of New York at Buffalo, along with his advisor, Dr. Adly T. Fam, authored the paper which introduces a technique for collapsing received waveforms into histograms to create a two dimensional image of the signal space. This image is a useful visualization tool in the characterization of the signal space and can be automated by utilizing pattern recognition and image processing algorithms.

Use of its WaveCasterTM Software Defined Radio platform IP and extensive signal processing capabilities in wireless RF applications represent a growing piece of Vanteon’s 25 year history of helping companies develop and maintain their electronic product portfolios through expert consulting services.

Erik Goethert, Vanteon’s Regional Sales Manager for New England, states, “Being selected by the technical community at WInnComm to present at this conference is an honor that highlights Vanteon’s level of experience and contribution in the wireless and RF arena. We’re thrilled to participate and look forward to applying the knowledge and techniques into our client’s next generation of wireless products.”
